QEMU 1.6.0 has been released and with this open-source processor emulator commonly used with Linux KVM are a whole lot of new features and capabilities.
Among the features of QEMU 1.6 are an NVMe PCI block device, the XHCI USB 3.0 controller now supports live migration, ACPI hotplug on PCI bridge devices is now supported, an ARM model for the Calxeda ECX-2000 “Midway” second-generation ARM platform, Mac OS X guest support for PowerPC, firmware can now be exposed to the guest as a flash device for x86, QEMU now supports exposing full sets of ACPI tables to the guest, improved KVM support, RDMA live migration support, GTK+ interface improvements, and a lot of other changes are present.
